As a late addition to our Conference Recording Plus suite we have added recording statistics.  Recording statistics reports when users play your conference call recording, either on the CellFrog conference dashboard or on your website using our embeddable recording player.

CellFrog recording statistics are accessible via your conference dashboard and can be viewed by clicking the icon in the recording dialog.   The recording dialog currently only shows the previous two weeks of traffic, however, statistics are maintained over the entire life of the recording.

In order to embed and share your conference call recording you must choose to “make this conference recording public” in the settings tab.

Recording Security

If the recording is not set to public the embedded player will use you CellFrog session to identify you.  Basically if you’re logged into CellFrog and you embed your recording into another website you will be able to play the audio whether it is public or private.  Don’t worry, once you log out of CellFrog the embedded player will function according to the privacy you select.

Following the announcement of CellFrog Conference Recording Plus I was able to catch an interview with SoCal Technology blog and videographer TechZulu.  As expected we used CellFrog to conduct and record the interview which was especially nice because TechZulu CEO Efren Toscano was able to embed the interview into his article.

The interview covered some of the core CellFrog features including contact synchronization,  conference call recording, scheduled callouts and conference call collaboration.  Additionally the interview touched upon why Chris and myself were inspired to create CellFrog and the problems that we were attempting to solve.

The interview also covered some of the unique usages for Conference Recording Plus including downloading your recording mp3 to listen to on your iPod and iPhone and also adding interviews and user testimonials to your blog, wiki or personal site.

Conference call recording is a terrific tool to reference important information for your team, project and company. Most conference call providers charge additional fees for this service, sometimes upwards of $20 for one conference recording.

With CellFrog conference call recording is included as a free feature and can be turned on for any scheduled conference call. On the schedule conference page simply just select the “record this conference call” checkbox and CellFrog will take care of the rest.

To access your conference call recordings you will have to visit your conference dashboard. The conference dashboard is accessible at www.cellfrog.com in the ‘Recent Conferences’ sidebar or on the ‘Conference Call History’ report.

Once you have accessed the conference dashboard you will see the audio player directly below the conference administrator panel. The audio file may take a few minutes to appear, depending on the length of the conference. You can use the audio player to quickly traverse through the recording to find what you’re referencing.

At CellFrog one of our major differentiators is our ability to save you time by coordinating and scheduling your conference calls.  

Consider some of your most recent conference calls.  You have to locate and relay the connection credentials, rely on everyone to actually remember the conference call and wait for all the other participants to join.  Such a process can take upwards of 15 minutes, multiplied by all of the participants on the conference call you can see how wasted time can add up.

CellFrog scheduled calls take the pain and time out of coordinating a conference call.  Once you login to cellfrog.com you can quickly select participants from your imported contact list, choose a time and push schedule.  

From there CellFrog connects with each particpant and offers them a selection of connection methods.  Participants can decline the conference, opt to call in toll-free or even have CellFrog call them when the conference starts.  Participants can also specify an alternative number for CellFrog to call allowing additional control and flexibility. 

When the conference starts each participant will receive a call from the CellFrog system.  Because all participants connect at the same time you never have to waste time waiting.  This not only saves your time but it also saves you money!

Adding additional contacts can be done via the online conference dashboard.  Simply select a name from your contact list and push ‘call contact’ or type a phone number in and push ‘call phone number’.

CellFrog not only calls all participants it also enables quick and easy collaboration around conferences by providing each participant access to the online Conference Dashboard.  The conference dashboard allows participants to upload and share files, chat, provide feedback and see who else is on the call.

We’re proud to announce the addition of reservationless conference calling. Reservationless conference calling is an ad-hoc form of confernce calling that allows users to call in at any time without a scheduled conference. Reservationless conference calling will provide CellFrog users the ability to choose between scheduling a conference ahead of time or starting a conference on the fly further extending the CellFrog conference calling options.

How it works

Unlike scheduled conference calls where each conference ID and conference pin is unique, reservationless calling utilizes a static conference ID and PIN that is assigned to each user upon registration. As a CellFrog user your reservationless ID and PIN never changes which makes starting a conference call easy and quick.

Administrators and Users

CellFrog users will be assigned both an administrative PIN number and a user PIN number which can be found on your user homepage. The administrativ PIN number is required to start a conference call. Those attendees who login with the user PIN will be placed on hold until an administrator is present.

As the administrator of your account you will be the only person who is notified of the administrative PIN number. All other attendees will be given the user PIN number to access the conference call.
