As a late addition to our Conference Recording Plus suite we have added recording statistics.  Recording statistics reports when users play your conference call recording, either on the CellFrog conference dashboard or on your website using our embeddable recording player.

CellFrog recording statistics are accessible via your conference dashboard and can be viewed by clicking the icon in the recording dialog.   The recording dialog currently only shows the previous two weeks of traffic, however, statistics are maintained over the entire life of the recording.

In order to embed and share your conference call recording you must choose to “make this conference recording public” in the settings tab.

Recording Security

If the recording is not set to public the embedded player will use you CellFrog session to identify you.  Basically if you’re logged into CellFrog and you embed your recording into another website you will be able to play the audio whether it is public or private.  Don’t worry, once you log out of CellFrog the embedded player will function according to the privacy you select.

Here at CellFrog we thought we’d announce an exciting new iPhone product that we wrote in our spare time.  Since we’re big advocates of open source technologies we took it upon ourselves to show a little initiative.  Announcing the FreeSWITCH console for iPhone.  Developers rejoice, you can finally use your iPhone to monitor your developer FreeSWITCH instances.  Best of all the product is FREE and can be downloaded via the iTunes App Store.

FreeSWITCH is an open source telephony platform designed to facilitate the creation of voice and chat driven products scaling from a soft-phone up to a soft-switch.

Damien Howley (CEO of CellFrog) participated in the graphics work and Chris Danielson (CTO of CellFrog) wrote the iPhone native application.  Chris Danielson released the iPhone application through his consulting company MaxPowerSoft, LLC in order to easily facilitate the release into the iTunes App Store.

once you’re part of ‘bill me later’ you will notice the icon next to your value.

Until now CellFrog offered a strictly prepay service were lump sums of credit could be purchased to use as needed.  With recent developments we are now offering postpay billing as an option to those of you who are looking for a more flexible billing solution.

Our postpay billing system, called ‘bill me later’, gives you the ability to hold limitless conference calls without the concern for topping-off your credit.  ’Bill me later’ is an opt in program so your CellFrog account will automatically default to our prepay offering.  In order to opt in all you have to do is visit your account credit page ( Settings > Buy Credit ), select ‘use bill me later’ and provide the required credit card* information.

Once you are part of ‘bill me later’ your account will be charged based on your level of credit.  Credit levels start at $20 and increase with usage.  Additionally you will notice the postpay icon next to your credit amount to signify your enrollment.

Furthermore we’re also proud to announce the release of CellFrong Conference Recording Plus which gives you the ability to record, download and even embed conference call and interview recordings.

In our first couple months of being open we’ve realized that most users are purchasing larger quantities of CellFrog credit and as a token of our appreciation we’ve decided to offer bulk purchasing discounts. We’re proud to announce the addition of reservationless conference calling. Reservationless conference calling is an ad-hoc form of confernce calling that allows users to call in at any time without a scheduled conference. Reservationless conference calling will provide CellFrog users the ability to choose between scheduling a conference ahead of time or starting a conference on the fly further extending the CellFrog conference calling options.

How it works

Unlike scheduled conference calls where each conference ID and conference pin is unique, reservationless calling utilizes a static conference ID and PIN that is assigned to each user upon registration. As a CellFrog user your reservationless ID and PIN never changes which makes starting a conference call easy and quick.

Administrators and Users

CellFrog users will be assigned both an administrative PIN number and a user PIN number which can be found on your user homepage. The administrativ PIN number is required to start a conference call. Those attendees who login with the user PIN will be placed on hold until an administrator is present.

As the administrator of your account you will be the only person who is notified of the administrative PIN number. All other attendees will be given the user PIN number to access the conference call.

We’re pleased to announce the release of CellFrog 1.1 which includes numerous upgrades and new features.  The CellFrog 1.1 release is intended to offer increased levels of document and file collaboration, additional contact synchronization tools and an improved user interface for easier navigation and accessibility.  Take a look at the release notes below for more details.

Live Google Docs editing and collaboration

• Share and edit Google docs documents within the CellFrog conference dashboard.  CellFrog allows users to directly connect to Google Docs enabling seamless connection to existing Google Docs documents.  The Google Docs integration takes place on the conference dashboard which provides users the ability to share files, provide feedback and connect with other conference attendees.  The editing experience takes place within the CellFrog conference dashboard and doesn’t require users to leave the collaborative interface.

Google Contact synchronization

• CellFrog now provides seamless synchronization with Google to enable easy access, management and organization of conference calls with your Google contacts.  Simply use the ‘Google sync’ tool to connect your account with CellFrog and your contacts will be available immediately.  The ‘Google sync’ tool works alongside our ‘Plaxo sync’ tool to provide thorough access to your network of contacts.

iCal integration

• CellFrog now utilizes iCal for all conference scheduling notifications.  iCal is a file format that contains calendar usable data and is used to easily schedule and share event information.  CellFrog conference attendees can now quickly add important conference calls to their local or web calendar.
